Setting up a RobotRoadblock button that links to a hidden contact
form or email address on your web site is easy. Just follow the seven
steps below to save either Free Version _ui
or _pi to your computer, and then
upload to your web site.
Free Version_ui (user defined
background image) allows you to use one of the four background gif
images provided: Click Here to Contact Us, or you may use your
own image. The flash button is transparent and blank, it is placed
over the background image. The provided button's name, size and background
color can be also be adjusted. Scroll down to [Button
Image Option] below for details.
Free Version_pi (pre-loaded image)
The "Click Here" link is built into the flash button. The button has
added security by using two unique hidden folder names.
You can return to RobotRoadblock anytime to update your "block email & form spam"
buttons. Simply use the encoder below to generate a new code and folder
name, then apply the same two changes to your web site. Updating the
button only takes a few minutes after initial setup.

[1] Copy and save these files
to your computer. If your internet connection is temporarily slow
you may see "Click Here to refresh this Contact button",
click it once to refresh.
[2] Open the Button
Encoder, ui below to generate the ui_codeRR.txt
variable: my_code="a_long_number", as well as the First
Folder and Sub Folder names. Open Notepad and create a
text file named dataRR.txt, then copy and paste the lines of
code from each of the blue backgrounds
below into dataRR.txt. All three lines of code must be used
for the same button. Click your browser's refresh button if the
encoder does not load, reload as needed.

[1] Copy and save these files to your computer.
[2] Open the Button
Encoder, pi below to generate the pi_codeRR.txt
variable: my_code="a_long_number", as well as the First
Folder and Sub Folder names. Open Notepad and create a
text file named dataRR.txt, then copy and paste the lines of
code from each of the blue backgrounds
below into dataRR.txt. All three lines of code must be used
for the same button.

Open, with Notepad, the dataRR.txt file and copy my_code="a_long_number".
Open, with Notepad, the file you downloaded, either ui_codeRR.txt or pi_codeRR.txt
and paste over the current my_code="a_long_number". Take care not to overwrite &end=here.
Ensure that Notepad's Format>Word Wrap is off and that there is only one line of code.
[4] Open your contact form web page with your favorite editor and
save a backup copy. Copy and paste: <script src="AC_RunActiveContent.js" language="javascript"></script>
in between your head tags.
[5] Open, with Notepad, the file
you downloaded, either ui_actionscriptRR.htm or pi_actionscriptRR.htm.
Copy, then paste all it's code overwriting the portion of your web
page with your current contact form's html source code.
[6] FTP, to your server, all files
(except dataRR.txt, ui_ or pi_actionscriptRR.htm)
into the same folder with your current contact form web page. Create
a new folder here with your First Folder name, then inside
that folder create another folder with your Sub Folder name.
Move your current contact form web page into your Sub Folder
and rename it index or default; whichever one your server supports.
FTP your edited contact form web page (with the RobotRoadblock button)
overwriting your current online page.
[7] Test the RobotRoadblock button.
If you see "Click Here to refresh this Contact button" after
refreshing at least once, review the above instructions.
Common error: Open the about-robotroadblock.htm and pi_
or ui_codeRR.txt files with Notepad, ensure that Format>Word
Wrap is off and that there is only one line of code. Contact robotroadblock
if problems persist.
[Button Image Option] Select another
one of these button images to replace the ui_buttonRR.gif background
image; right mouse click one and select "Save Picture As..."
then rename it: ui_buttonRR.gif.

You can also change a button's name, color and size by editing the
pi_ or ui_actionscriptRR.htm. It's size appear three
times and name and color once; background="ui_buttonRR.gif"
(or pi_button.gif) and bgcolor="#FFFF00".
You may also create your own image, 175 by 80 pixels and name it ui_buttonRR.gif,
then upload it to your web site replacing the existing gif image.
Or simply remove background="ui_buttonRR.gif" from pi_
or ui_actionscriptRR.htm and place text around the button instead
of a background image. example
[Button Name Option] Both the
ui_buttonRR and pi_buttonRR .swf names can be changed,
each appears six times in both ui_actionscriptRR.htm or pi_actionscriptRR.htm.
Change the name of the actual .swf too.
[Email Option] If you use RobotRoadblock to conceal an email address, please remove it from all
pages except the hidden page, we can't do anything
about the spammers that already have your email, but RobotRoadblock will help prevent it from be captured by new bots.
[Robots.txt Option] If you use a robots.txt file, add a Disallow for your First Folder name.
[Updates] Return to this web site
to update your free stop bot spam buttons quickly, just refresh the Encoder and
use the new my_code, first and sub folder names. Please make
a note of the current version number you are using, using a newer
version requires an update of all files.
